Inductees and Young Achievers of the Australian Poker Hall of Fame were traditionally announced during the Aussie Millions at Crown Casino, Melbourne. Hopefully we can bring some good news about the future of these awards in the near future.
Founded in 2009 by Maurie Pears the Australian Poker Hall of Fame formally recognises the accomplishments of poker players and professionals in the poker industry professionals from Australia and New Zealand.

Consideration Criteria:
- either current or former residents of Australia or New Zealand,
- demonstrated significant and outstanding service to the game, by either bringing credit to Australian Tournament Poker, or obviously
- displaying significant player excellence.

The Australian Poker Hall of Fame also acknowledged “Young Achievers” each year, this was a way of offering continued encouragement in poker to young and talented players that demonstrated poker excellence, and may be inducted in the future.
