2025 Australian Poker Tour
Australian Poker Schedule is proud to present the 1K Fantasy Superheroes at the Australian Poker Tour – Sydney. The 1K Fantasy Superheroes will be held at Bella, Hotel Bella Vista from 25th July – 4th August 2025 with Live Auction Thursday 24th July.
Fantasy competitions add an additional level of fun to major sporting events and competitions. Pick your team, accumulate points, take on the other teams to win a share of the prizemoney. Examples of other well known fantasy competitions are NRL Supercoach & AFL Fantasy.
What makes the 1K Fantasy Superheroes stand out from regular fantasy competitions is the all important LIVE Fantasy Draft Auction taking place on Thursday July 24th (the day before series), and is similar to the 25K Fantasy by Daniel Negreanu at the WSOP each year.
This edition of the 1K Fantasy is also similar to the 1K Fantasy that was held at the 2024 APL Million, and the 2K Fantasy at 2025 APO with a few small changes.

FORMAT & RULES
Team owners can register a team with Australian Poker Schedule up until the Auction date 24th July.
To guarantee Custom Team Patches and Custom gift-box delivery we will need team names ASAP.
Teams are capped at 20 Total.
A team can have 1, 2 or more owners.
Entry is $1,150 for a team. ($1,000 + $150 Admin/Materials/Costs)
Teams owners nominate with a deposit, Team Name along with a mascot, symbols or theme, please note team names and themes can be creative, funny, a business or sponsor etc., but cannot be offensive.
Team names that nominate and pay deposit before the Soft Cut-Off date will receive custom team patches for team owners, players to wear in support of their teams, and other custom items as well. These logos will also be used on the official website and social media.
At least one team owner or proxy is required to attend the Live Player Draft Auction 24th July, Time TBA at Bella, Hotel Bella Vista.
The Live Draft Auction is expected to take between 2 and 3 hours. MC/Auctioneer: Jamie Hall
The Live Draft Auction will be Live streamed on Australian Poker Schedule’s YouTube Channel.
Each team is allocated a budget of $125 to draft their 5 players at the Live Player Auction.
The Draft Team Order will be decided randomly at TBA 24th July 2025 (30 minutes prior to Auction)
When it is a Teams turn to pick at Auction, the Team owner of proxy must name a player and their opening bid. The minimum bid is $1.
If no other Team bids on a nominated player, they are sold to the nominating Owner.
The maximum player bid depends on how much of their team budget is left, initially it is $121, but as the budget is spent, a teams maximum bid is reduced so that they have at least $1 left for each spot to be filled by that team.
Team Owners are allowed to Draft themselves.
Team owners nominations are final and cannot be changed.

- Players must cash in an event to receive points.
- Players finishing in the top 18 receive an additional 1 point per 100 entries (no rounding). For example:
- 83 entries: 0-point bonus
- 109 entries: 1-point bonus
- 288 entries: 2-point bonus
- 1,352 entries: 13-point bonus
- For every 1,000 entries, 9 additional players receive the field size bonus.
- Points are multiplied based on event buy-in:
- 1x Total points for buy-ins up to $350 (13 Events)
- 1.5x Total points for buy-ins of $351-999 (8 Events)
- 2x Total points for buy-ins of $1,000 or higher (8 Events)
- The field size bonus is capped at 100 points and applies to a maximum of 81 players (9 tables).
- In heads-up or shootout events, players finishing in the same position split the points for that position, rounded up. For example, 5th through 8th place receives 22.5 points (plus field size bonuses).
- Points are awarded only for open events.
- State of Origin Excluded
- Only events scheduled before the draft count.
- Results are final as long as at least one event runs.
- If an event is canceled, its results do not count.
- If an event is rescheduled and completes, its results count.

FAQs
Do I need to attend the Live Draft Auction?
Yes, at least one of the team owners will need to be there to nominate players and bid!
How long will the Live Draft Auction go for, how will it work?
We estimate 2.5 – 3 hours or until every team has been filled with their 5 players. There will be a break every hour, and you can have food & drinks during the auction, it is a social event, will be a lot of fun, live auctioneer and MC for the evening TBA .
What happens if a player in my team does not play any events?
The player will earn 0 pts. There are no substitutes, make sure you pick players you know are attending
Who decides what players are worth at Auction? and their starting bid price? Just like all Auction’s the market and demand sets the price of a player. The starting bid of a player can be as low $1.
How is the order of picking teams determined at the Live Draft Auction?
A random draw will take place 30 minutes prior to the Live Draft Auction.
Can owners draft themselves? Yes.
Can other owners be on call, with other owners that cannot attend?
Yes, provided they cannot be heard, eg. use headphones and there is no disruption to the draft process. Other owners can listen in, but all phones need to be on silent.
Can other owners bring laptops, notes, etc?
Yes, in fact we encourage you to research and prepare as much as possible for the Live Player Draft. Please be aware we cannot guarantee access to power for Laptops.
Who sets the prices that players sell for in the Fantasy Draft? (Repeated)
The prices are set at the auction, players are nominated with an opening bid, this can be $1 or a higher amount. This player is bid on until sold to one of the teams. Each player can only be sold to one team for the price decided by the Live auction process.
Can a team have multiple owners that contribute to a team entry fee?
Yes, and they can all attend the auction, with one nominated for bidding.
